The Company Details screen is where users can view and edit company information that is linked to either Contacts or Clients. Company Details are broken into multiple views which include General, Addresses, Numbers, and Contacts.
Opening a Company Tab
- Use the Search bar to search by Company name.
- Expand the Companies result list.
- Select the name of the Company.
A Company can also be opened from a linked Client or Contact record by selecting its name in the General view of these tabs.

Navigating Company Views
The Views panel of the Company tab includes information about the Company and offers the following views: General, Addresses, Numbers, Contacts, and Prospects.
Editing Attributes
Requires Security Rights: Edit/Merge Company Names
Some views, such as the General view, contain attributes and information that define the Company. To edit these attributes:
- Select Edit
at the top-right of the view.
- Make any necessary changes in the window that appears.
- Select Save.
Adding Records
Requires Security Rights: Edit/Merge Company Names
Other views, like the Addresses and Numbers views, contain lists of records attached to the Company. In these views, records can be added by performing the following steps:
- Select Add
at the top-right of the view.
- Complete the required fields in the window that appears.
- Select Save.
Views on the Company Tab
The aim of this guide is not to provide an exhaustive list of Company fields and properties. However, any items of particular note are covered in each view's section, below.
General
The General view allows users to view/edit the existing Company name that resides within the Company Information grid. Users can also view if the Company listed is linked to a Client record. Use Edit at the top-right of the grid to make changes to this information.
Merging Company Records: The merge function allows the data from two Company records to be combined into a single record. To perform a merge, select More > Merge and then enter the name of the target company and select it. Select Save to complete the request.
Deleting the Company
Requires Security Rights: Maintenance
Company records can be deleted so long as they are not linked to a Client. To delete a Company:
- Select Edit
at the top-right of the General Company Information grid. The corresponding window displays.
- Select Marked for Deletion.
- Select Save.
- Next, the record must be deleted via the Data Deletion Manager. Navigate to Maintenance > Data Deletion; the corresponding tab opens.
- Select Company Names from the Views list on the left.
- Hover over the Company's entry in the grid and select Delete
on the right-hand side.
Addresses
The Addresses view allows for adding, editing, and deleting a Company's address information. These addresses can be easily synced with a linked Client record or any linked Contacts.
Use Add at the top-right of the grid to add a new address, or hover over any address entry to display the Edit
and Delete

Numbers
The Numbers view allows for adding, editing, and deleting a Company's phone number information. These numbers can be easily synced with a linked Client record or any linked Contacts.
Use Add at the top-right of the grid to add a new number, or hover over any number entry to display the Edit
and Delete
options on the right-hand side. For more information on working with numbers, refer to the article Addresses and Numbers for Companies, Clients & Contacts.
Contacts
The Contacts view displays all of the Contacts that have been linked to this Company. These Contacts can share any Addresses and Numbers added to the Company, if desired. Double-click on a entry in this grid to open it in a new Contact tab.
Contact records that have been deactivated but which are still linked to the Company can be viewed by selecting More > Show Inactive.
