In PensionPro, Dashboards represent a user's "home" pages. These Dashboards provide an at-a-glance view of useful information pertaining to Plans, Projects, and more; furthermore, many of these Dashboards offer a means of quickly accessing work that the user needs to perform. This article discusses the available Dashboards and their uses, as well as some basic functionality.
For information on arranging and filtering Dashboard items, refer to the article Customizing Dashboard Views.

Available Dashboards
The following list describes the Dashboards provided by PensionPro. Not all Dashboards are available in all tiers. All Dashboards can be accessed from the Dashboards menu item within the Navigation Panel on the left.
Events
Tier: Business
The Events Dashboard provides high-level visibility of multiple Projects as they reach various checkpoints in completion. This makes it easy to track the flow of Projects and find those which may be lagging behind.
To open this Dashboard, navigate to Dashboards > Events. For more information, refer to the article Event Management.
Milestones
Tier: Track, Team
The Milestones Dashboard tracks the dates that important stages of annual Plan administration were completed for the most recent plan year. This includes the dates that census data was received, testing was completed, and the 5500 form was filed. This information is displayed for the Administrator of the Plan. Double-clicking on an item will open the corresponding Plan Cycle record.
To open this Dashboard, navigate to Dashboards > Milestones. For more information, refer to the article Using the Milestones Dashboard.
My Projects
Tier: Business
Security Rights Required: Manager
The My Projects Dashboard contains the Projects that the user oversees as a Project Manager. Double-clicking on an item will open the Project's Workflow view.
To open this Dashboard, navigate to Dashboards > My Projects. For more information on managing Projects, refer to the article Launching & Managing Projects.
My Tasks
Tier: Business
The My Tasks Dashboard contains any active Tasks assigned to the user. This Dashboard makes it easy to start and resume work for a Plan, and tracks a Task's completion based on the completion of its Task Items. Double-clicking on a Task will open it in the Project's Workflow view.
To open this Dashboard, navigate to Dashboards > My Tasks. For more information on working with Tasks, refer to the article Tasks and Workflow.
Scoreboard
Add-On: SalesPitch
In actuality, the Scoreboard represents a selection of Dashboards for SalesPitch users. Scoreboards are available to track potential leads in the form of Prospects, the status of any Proposals being drafted, and an overview of potential sales revenue.
These Dashboards can be found under Dashboards > Scoreboard. For more information, refer to the article Using the Scoreboard.
Time
Tier: Team, Business
The Time Dashboard provides the ability to review any Time Slips that have been entered to track time performed on any Plans or Projects. New Time Slips may also be added, and Time Slips from previous dates may be retrieved.
To open this Dashboard, navigate to Dashboards > Time. For more information, refer to the article Recording & Tracking Time.
To-Dos
Tier: Team, Business
The To-Dos Dashboard contains work items that are assigned on an ad hoc basis. The number of open To-Dos is displayed in the tab bar at the top of the page. Double-clicking a To-Do will open it in a new tab.
To open this Dashboard, navigate to Dashboards > To-Dos. For more information, refer to the article To-Dos.
Worktray
Tier: Business
The Worktray Dashboard is similar to My Tasks; however, instead of containing Tasks assigned to the user, it contains Tasks assigned to a Worktray. Multiple users may be assigned to a Worktray to retrieve Tasks.
Each of a user's Worktrays can be found under Dashboards > Worktrays; each Worktray opens in a separate tab. The All Worktray combines Tasks from all of the user's Worktrays. For more information, refer to the article Using Worktrays.
Setting Default Dashboards
Dashboards that are set as defaults will be opened automatically upon logging in to PensionPro. Additionally, these tabs are "pinned" to the tab bar at the top of the page; while they can't be closed, they will remain at hand for easy access. The default Dashboards can be customized to suit whatever work is commonly performed.
The option to set Dashboards as default can be found within User Experience Preferences:
- In the PensionPro header at the top-right, select More > View My Account. The Account Information grid opens in a new Employee tab.
- In the Views list on the left, expand Preferences, then select User Experience. The corresponding grid displays.
- Hover over the Default Tabs preference, then select Edit on the right-hand side. The Edit Preference window displays.
- Use the Default Tabs dropdown to select the Dashboard you want to add as default. Multiple Dashboards can be added as default. Alternately, select Remove next to a Dashboard below the dropdown to remove it from defaults.
- When finished, select Save.
Additional notes:
- If Worktray is added as a default tab, the Default Worktray preference will appear in the grid, where any of the user's Worktrays may be chosen as the default. Only one Worktray can be made a default tab.
- If Scoreboard is added as a default tab, the Scoreboard used will be the Proposal Status Scoreboard.
- While Secure File Exchange is not considered a Dashboard, it may be added as a default tab if desired.
Using Dashboards
As alluded to previously, most Dashboards provide quick access to items of interest, and double-clicking an item within the Dashboard grid will often open the item or record in a new tab.
In addition to this, the following actions can be performed for multiple—if not all—Dashboards.
Quick Editing
Most Dashboards (such as My Tasks and Time) allow some details of their contained items to be quickly updated. To do this, hover over the item in question, then select Edit on the right-hand side of the grid; the appropriate window will be displayed.
Although less common, some items may also be permanently deleted by hovering over the item and selecting Delete on the right.
Refreshing a Dashboard
Dashboard content will refresh automatically every time the corresponding tab is brought into focus. If desired, a Dashboard can also be refreshed manually by selecting Refresh at the top-right of the grid.
Exporting a Dashboard
A Dashboard's contents can be exported into Excel workbook format, allowing a makeshift report to be created on the fly. To do this, select More > Export at the top-right of the grid; an .xlsx file will be downloaded based on the web browser's settings.
Viewing Other Dashboards
Dashboards with assigned items—such as My Tasks, My Projects, and To-Dos—assume that the user is only interested in viewing their own items. However, these can actually be viewed from the perspective of any relevant Employee.
To view a Dashboard from the perspective of another Employee, use the dropdown at the top-left to select the desired Employee; the grid will automatically re-populate with that Employee's items.
