The population of Notes into PensionPro requires that a pre-formatted excel data sheet be completed for import.

To Import Notes:
- To access the import sheet, click on Power Tools > Import > PensionPro Setup > Note. This will open a browser to the PensionPro Tools support page.
- In the “For” dropdown menu choose either Client or Plan.
- Select the Download a Template button to download the import sheet. See the instructions below to prepare the spreadsheet.
- Once the import sheet is complete, click on Power Tools > Import > PensionPro Setup > Note. This will open a browser to the PensionPro Tools support page.
- Click the Select a Spreadsheet button and locate the file for import.
- Click on the Upload button to import the spreadsheet.
- A message will appear if the spreadsheet is imported successfully or errors will appear if it did not. Any changes that need to be made should be changed and then saved before trying to import the data again. Once all data has been scrubbed and the errors corrected, the import will show as completed once processed. All data must be formatted correctly before the import will complete.
Instructions Tab
- A color-coded Column Legend with instructions. These color-coded columns in the spreadsheet(s) allow the user to see what fields are required, related, recommended, or not required.

Client Notes Tab
- Required fields: Client Name, Note Text, Created On Date, and Created by Employee Name
- List Values: Note Category
- Note: List Values need to be created in Maintenance>List Values before importing data into PensionPro.
Client List Tab
- Provides a list of active Clients from your system to assist with completing the Client Notes tab
Employee List Tab
- Provides a list of active Employees from your system to assist with completing the Client Notes tab
Note Categories List Tab
- Provides a list of Note Categories available in the system to assist with completing the Client Notes tab.
PlanNoteDataTemplate:
Plan Notes Tab
- Required fields: Plan Name, Note Text, Created On Date, and Created by Employee Name
- List Values: Note Category
- Note: List Values need to be created in Maintenance > List Values before importing data into PensionPro.
Plan List Tab
- Provides a list of active Plans from your system to assist with completing the Plan Notes tab.
Employee List Tab
- Provides a list of active Employees from your system to assist with completing the Plan Notes tab.
Note Categories List Tab
- Provides a list of Note Categories available in the system to assist with completing the Plan Notes tab.
