10/27/2022:  PensionPro version 1.35.5.28

Features in this release:

  • County added to Client Address:  The County field has been added for use with Client addresses.
    • This field is available in Merge Documents, Blast Email, Fetch, and External API.
    • The Annual Data Collection County Required for Address Type preference has been added to Preferences > PensionPro > Annual Data Collection.
  • Distribution File Protection: A PlanSponsorLink user can no longer edit or delete files that were uploaded in PensionPro. Additionally, a PSL user will not be able to edit or delete their own uploaded Distribution File once the File has been accessed in PensionPro.
  • File Access Log: Plan and Project Files now have an Accessed field that displays the date the File was accessed in PensionPro or PSL.

 

Fixes in this release:

  • System-generated Employee name update: For records displaying an Employee name where no Employee data is available, the system now uses “Pension Pro” instead of “Sys Admin”.

 

UPDATE 11/1/2022: A default "Accessed On" date of 1/1/2000 has been added to Administration Form Plan Files uploaded prior to this release to prevent them from being unintentionally displayed on PlanSponsorLink.

 

 

9/13/2022:  PensionPro version 1.35.5.24

PensionPro:

  • Distributions - Start Date does not automatically populate upon the creation of a Distribution: If a Start Date was not supplied during the Distribution Project creation, the system now sets the Start Date to match the Project Active Date. This correction extends to existing Distribution Projects which had blank Start Dates at the time of this release; the Start Date for these Projects should now equal the Active Date.

New Features and Enhancements

  • Email Address Change Notification: A new Notifications preference type, Enable Email Address Notification Change, has been added. If this preference is set to 'Yes,' a contact will receive a notification that their email address had been changed in PensionPro. The email notification will be sent to the existing and updated email addresses of the contact. The subject and body text of the emails may be customized.
  • Security Rights
    • Manage Contact Security: Replaces the Manage PSL Password security right. This security right allows the user to reset a contact's password and reset MFA for a given user on PlanSponsorLink.
    • PSL MFA Security: This new security right grants the ability to enable/disable MFA for all PSL contacts.

PlanSponsorLink:

New Features and Enhancements 

  • Multi-Factor Authentication for PlanSponsorLink: The Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) capability has been added for users of PlanSponsorLink. If enabled, all PlanSponsorLink users will be asked to authenticate using a six-digit code delivered by email or text. For detailed information on the feature, please visit Using Multi-Factor Authentication for PlanSponsorLink.

Note: Enabling this feature requires a new security right, PSL MFA Security.

  • Removal of "First time user?" Link: The First time user? link has been removed from the PlanSponsorLink login page. A new user should, instead, click the Forgot password? link and then enter the appropriate email address to retrieve their password.

  • MFA Email Notifications: The email sending account was adjusted to reflect the product it was being sent from.
  • Merge Fields in Merge Documents: Added the following fields: "PR_Project_Manager_First_Name" and "PR_Project_Manager_Last_Name" in the Merge Document Template Fields. 
  • Contact in Plan Contact Link Slider: Removed the ability to edit the name for Plan Contact Roles so that the new contact is added/given the website rights and forcing deletion if a contact isn't a part of the plan anymore so that the website rights are removed.
  • General in Plan Screen: Fixed "endless loading" bug on the plan screen when accessing the general information.
  • Blast Email: Fixed a bug in PensionPro Web where Blast Email templates originally created in PensionPro Desktop would include CSS from the template into the email message when sent from PensionPro Web.

  • Try Early Access: The link to open the installer from the Help Center was removed from the Help Menu.
  • Blast Email: Users: Users without access to Fetch could not save Blast Email updates using the HTML editor on the tooling site.

  • Delete a location: Identified via error messages that linked Opportunities existed that were preventing deletion

SalesPitch:

  • Proposal Status Scoreboard: The Referral Source column was not accurately identifying contacts who were marked as a referral source from the settings defined in the list values.
 
PlanSponsorLink.com:
  • Numbers that were only linked to Companies in PensionPro caused errors when users on PSL were trying to link them on the first step of the Year End Data Collection process
  • Users could save the Principal Step in Year End Data Collection without 100% ownership by clicking on the step arrow twice then clicking on the Save button to continue.

PensionPro:

DocuSign: Previously in PensionPro our integration with DocuSign would update status and documents for a maximum of 30 days. We have now updated the system to match each document's envelope expiration date and pull back the status and updated documents for as long as the documents envelope has not expired.

Blast Email:  An enhancement was added that allows a user to choose a Document Specification Selection when the Mailing Type selected is Plan Contacts, Census Reminders, Census Requests, General Web Collection Reminders or General Web Collection Requests.

Reporting:  An update was made allowing ‘None’ tags to pull into the Multiple Plan Document Specs Report. 

Document Specs:  Additional FT William tags were added to the template library. They include MatchDiscYE, MatchDiscForm, MatchDiscAlloc, and MatchDiscAllocOther. The new tags were not mapped to the original templates in the template library. They are available in new templates added going forward.

API:

API:  Resolved an issue where projects being completed through the API were not reflecting an updated status. The project status should now reflect completed instead of in process.

Company Details:  Resolved an issue where users received an unhandled exception error message when trying to delete company details.

Document Specifications:  Updated common document specification tags renaming duplicate tags

Document Specifications:  Updated the document specification import feature from the plan level to automatically truncate fields that exceed 750 characters.  When importing from the global level, fields exceeding 750 characters will generate a problem to be reviewed and corrected before proceeding with the import.

DocuSign Integration:  Corrected an issue with multiple versions of a signed document being returned to PensionPro

New Features and Enhancements

DocuSign Integration:

A new integration has been created between PensionPro and DocuSign for users on the Business tier. This integration will allow users to create E-Signature templates that are used to send documents to Plan Contacts for electronic signature. Users have the option to have the signed version automatically replace the unsigned document in PensionPro and PSL. An Interaction will also be created when the document is sent and will indicate the status of that document.

The following security rights have been added:

  • Add/Edit E-Signature Templates
  • Create E-Signature Requests

Reporting: A column for the status of DocuSign E-Signature documents has been added to the Interaction Detail List report.

ftwilliam.com Document Specifications Integration:

A new ftwilliam.com Document Specifications Integration has been added for users on the Team and Business tiers. The integration will allow users to update doc specs at the plan level with the click of a button.

General Document Specifications:

  • A new Power Tool has been added under Power Tools > Field Updates > Document Specifications to update the Status of Document Specifications that have been added to plans.
  • Due to recent Document Specification updates, users will no longer have the ability to use “None” when creating new Documents Specification Sections and Tags. Prior values coded as “None” will remain unchanged.
  • The Provider for all prior Document Specification Templates and templates not integrated with ftwilliam.com must be listed as “Common.”
  • To view plan Document Specifications on the plan Specifications tab, users will now need to select the current document version from the Document Versions drop down. This gives the user the ability to choose which Document Version they want to apply to the plan when multiple documents exist.

PensionPro:

Preferences: General Web Collection Submission Email Subject has been added under the General Web Collection Preferences, and Data Collection Submission Email Subject has been added under the Annual Data Collection Preferences, giving users the ability to customize the subject line.

PlanSponsorLink:

Display: Resolved an issue with the My Active Tasks tab and the Data Collection tab alignment when navigating between the tabs. When switching between tabs in PSL, the tabs will no longer shift and will remain aligned.   

Annual Data Collection: Resolved an issue where the Company tab was displaying an error message when editing the existing information. Users can now edit the existing information on the Company tab successfully without error.

Annual Data Collection: Resolved an issue where the Contact step was displaying website rights multiple times for contacts assigned to more than one role. Each right will now only be displayed once per contact, even if they are assigned to multiple roles.

Secure File Exchange:

Secure File Exchange: Resolved an issue where users were running into slowness issues when typing a recipient’s name in the To: field. Users can now expect to populate recipients in the To: field at a quicker rate.

New Features and Enhancements 

Login/Lockout:

A new security feature has been created and enabled to prevent hackers from trying to use a brute force attack to gain access to PensionPro.  The security feature has also been added to PlanSponsorLink but must be enabled for it to take effect. For more information, please visit Using the Login Lockout Feature.

  • Failed Login Attempts: A pop-up message will be displayed after each failed login attempt. After 5 consecutive login attempts, the user’s account will become locked.
  • Account Lockout: When a user’s account is locked, an email will be sent to the user.
  • Login/Lockout on PSL: Users can enable or disable the PSL Login/Lockout feature by using the Enable Login Lockout preference in PensionPro.

PlanSponsorLink:

Our Fall update includes the following enhancements made to PlanSponsorLink. For more information, please visit Navigating PlanSponsorLink.

  • Users now have the ability to delete or edit Distribution Document information.
  • When adding a Fiduciary File on PSL, the Period End of the file can now be before the Effective Date.
  • The distributions tab can be hidden on PSL on the plan level as well as globally via Power Tools.
  • Users can now drag and drop files in PSL.
  • A new website banner has been added to the My Active Tasks screen and it is customizable.
  • Files are no longer required to create a bulletin in PSL.
  • The Bulletins Description field now accepts HTML.

 

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA):

Our Fall update includes the following enhancements made to Multi-Factor Authentication. For more information, please visit Using Security Management.

  • Fetch: If the MFA Preference is enabled, users will now be required to authenticate when logging into Fetch from a browser window. When a phone number that is used for MFA is changed, the user will receive an email notification notifying them of the change.
  • MFA Updates:
  • Employee email address is now a required field. Users can no longer remove an employee’s email address.
  • Users will be authenticated every 60 days, based on IP address and machine name.
  • The system will now recognize if a user is logging into PensionPro from a different IP address and require the user to authenticate.

Plan Cycle Filings: Resolved an issue where the 5558 date was being reverted back to a blank value after manually updating via Power Tools when connecting to ftwilliam.com. The 5558 date entered will now remain after connecting with ftwilliam.com.

Blast Email: Resolved an issue where the “Include All Plan CCs” value was not being copied over correctly when copying a Blast Email Template. The Include All Plan CCs value will now copy over successfully after copying a template.

Data Deletion Manager: Resolved an issue where users were unable to delete contacts successfully. Users can now delete contacts without error.

Project Templates: A warning message is now displayed when adding a Data Type to a Project Template that does not contain any Data Values.

Fetch:

Fetch: “Is null” and “Is not null” have been added as operators under the Deactivated On field in order to allow for filtering out Active or Inactive Contacts.

Tasks: Use Fetch to view the history of a task. The Task History tracks the state, who changed it, and when. A Task State can be Activated, Completed, Overridden, or Returned. 

ProPass Training Subscription: Firms can now select the Pro-Pass Annual Subscription (no users required) from the PensionPro Site and their Account Maintenance screens. For $100.00 a month, users can access and attend as many Live Training Sessions, or Recorded Training Sessions as needed.

Annual Administration Templates: Resolved an issue where users could Launch a project from a template for which web collection is required, without a task group for “Data Collection”. This allowed users to create projects with missing required tasks.

Project Creation: Resolved an issue where the ‘Save and Open’ button for Project addition was taking users to a blank screen. The “Save and Open” button will now take users to the Project Tasks for the Project created.

Fetch:

Duplicate Queries: Resolved an issue where Period End filters were affected by the query duplication. Now, when a query is duplicated, the Period End filters will display the correct parameters.

Distributions: The "Completed On" date now appears in the Distribution Search results if the Distribution is completed.

Contacts: Resolved an unhandled validation issue when adding a new linked Number.

Contacts: Resolved an issue that prevented users from adding an employee if the designated email address was first added to a contact record. Users will now receive a warning message stating that the email address matches an existing contact record but will still be able to add the employee.

Contacts: Resolved an issue where users were receiving an error message stating that the contact could not be deactivated due to being the only contact assigned the System Administrator role. Users can now successfully deactivate contact records without error.

API: Resolved an issue where the PUT FeeSchedule endpoint would require users to also edit the start date in order to edit the end date. Users can now edit only the end date without changing the start date.

Fee Schedules: Resolved an issue where users were not able to add line breaks or carriage returns in the Fee Schedule description field. Users can now successfully enter breaks or carriage returns in the Fee Schedule description.

Power Tools: Resolved an issue where Timeslips that were marked as billed would still appear in the Power Tool. Now after marking a Timeslip as billed, it will disappear from the window.

Resolved an issue where the Add/Edit icons for Fiduciary Documents in the Grouped View would still appear after removing the Add/Edit/Delete Fiduciary Documents website right before refreshing the page. Blast Email: Resolved an issue where users would update the mailing type for a Blast Email template and then update the static email address field, the Blast Email would use the original static email address. Blast Email now uses the latest static email address selected.

Projects: Resolved an issue where inactive Task Category list values would appear in the Project Template dropdowns for Task Category when editing a Task. Users will now only observe active Task Category list values in the Task Category dropdown menu when editing Tasks in a project.

Event Management: Resolved an issue where users could tag the same Event to multiple Tasks within the same launched Project. Users may now only tag a particular Event to one Task within a launched project.

FTW Integration: Resolved an issue where users would multi-click the Create New button on Plan Details to create and link a plan record on ftwilliam.com and create duplicate plan records in ftwilliam.com. Contacts: Resolved an issue where users would receive an error message when attempting to save edits to a contact record after removing the contact’s first name value, cancel the edit and clicking the Edit button again. The error message would continue to appear even though the first name value was not changed. Users now only receive an error message when attempting to save a contact record with a missing first name value.

Authorized Computer Management: Resolved an issue where users were able to reset their login password on the PensionPro login screen from an unauthorized machine when Authorized Computer Management was enabled. Users can no longer reset login passwords from an unauthorized machine.

Secure File Exchange: Resolved an issue where some users were not able to download files sent by another employee. Users may now download files in the sent folder of other employees.

Projects launched with an Annual frequency, Annual Administration Project Type and require Data Collection will now have the same start date as the start of the plan year rather than the day the project is launched if no Start Date Offset is configured.

Plan Cycles: Resolved an issue where Plan Cycle fields were missing in the Team Tier of PensionPro. The Plan Cycle import templates now match the fields available in the Plan Cycles screen of PensionPro.

Notes:  Resolved an issue where notes in PlanSponsorLink were editable on a Distribution by the Plan Sponsor, even if the note was created by an employee in PensionPro. Distribution notes can now only be edited by the user that created the note.

Employees:  Resolved an issue where users would receive an error message when entering an Employee ID that was already in use for another employee. After removing the existing Employee ID, users were still receiving the error, having to close out of PensionPro to save the Employee Details. Users now receive a warning that the Employee ID is already in use and users can edit the Employee ID to a unique value successfully.

PlanSponsorLink:  

Data Collection:  Resolved an issue where users could click Save multiple times on any General Web Collection task in PlanSponsorLink and the remaining tasks would show as completed. Clicking on the save button multiple times will now only complete the current task. 

Secure File Exchange:  

Secure File Exchange: Resolved an issue in the Incoming Expiration Days Default Preference where the “Never” option was still available. “Never” has been removed from the Preference dropdown, as the maximum expiration is 90 days.

Project Templates: Dependent On, Activates and Is Extension fields have been removed from Project Templates, as these fields are no longer being used. Event, Task Category and Description fields have been added to project templates. Old template layouts will still be supported through PensionPro. However, any exported templates will be updated to the new template layout. It is also important to note that when adding a Description other than the Participant’s name on a Distribution Project, the description will be overridden, displaying the Participant’s name in the Description on the Dashboard.

PensionPro: 

Imports: Resolved an issue where users were receiving an error message when attempting to send an email to a newly imported Plan Contact. Users can now successfully send emails to newly imported Plan Contacts.

Preferences: Resolved an issue in the Distribution Preferences Field Set Up tab where users could add duplicate values. Users will now receive an error message when attempting to add a duplicate value.

Fetch:

SalesPitch:

When deactivating an employee, or removing their Security Rights, the user will receive a warning message stating that the selected employee still has Proposals assigned to them, and they should be reassigned. 

Event Management: 

Plan Counts: Resolved an issue where plans that were marked as Deactivated for All Activity but did not have a Terminated On date would still appear in Plan Counts. Deactivated plans with or without a Terminated On date will not be included in any Plan Counts or Completed and Remaining drill-down screens.

Grouping: Resolved an issue where the CategoryName label was concatenated to the Event Name in Grouped Results. The Event Name will now be displayed without a CategoryName concatenated to the Event Name.

Task Completion Status: Resolved an issue where Tasks that had a Data Type of “none” would never appear as completed, but would count towards the percent complete. Task Items with a Data Type of “none” will no longer be included in the percentage count for Events > Tasks Remaining.

Plan Counts: Resolved an issue where Projects without a Period End were appearing in Plan Counts. The “Plans” and “Completed” columns will now appear as “N/A” for Projects that do not have a Period End. 

PlanSponsorLink: 

Data Collection: Resolved an issue where Plan Sponsors did not receive an error message when attempting to upload a file with the same name as an existing file. Users will now receive an error message stating that the file could not be uploaded because a file with the same name already exists.

Projects: Resolved an issue where users were receiving an error message when overriding the last task in an extension project. Users can now override the final task in an extension project without error.

Projects: Resolved an issue where the Plan Details > Workflow tab would not sort projects by due date. The Workflow tab now sorts projects by completion status with uncompleted projects at the top, then by the due date of the project.

Event Management: Removed the Plan Count, Projects Completed Count, and Remaining Counts from the Suggested Events tab to eliminate confusion since users may not have launched all of the projects for a Suggested Event. Counts remain on the Events tab, allowing users to verify the count accuracy on the Event Drilldown tab.

PlanSponsorLink: 

Distributions: Fixed an issue where completed distributions would not appear in a search in PlanSponsorLink. PlanSponsorLink users may now return completed distributions from search results on the Distribution tab in PlanSponsorLink.

Data Collection: When exporting a blank employee census import template from an Annual Administration Data Collection Project in PensionPro, the template did not match the same exported template that a Plan Sponsor downloads from the Employees step of a Data Collection Project in PlanSponsorLink. The Employees tab of the template that contains the census information will now always be the first tab so that exported templates will remain consistent.

API:

API: Resolved an issue where the API rate limit would not automatically update when users upgraded to the Business Tier, resulting in an error message stating that the API rate limit has been exceeded. Users’ API rate limit will now automatically update after an upgrade to the Business Tier.

Fetch Web:

Fetch Web: Resolved an issue where users were receiving a general error message when attempting to filter or group a Worktray or Task Dashboard. Users can now add a filter or grouping to a column header in the Worktray and Dashboard successfully.

PensionPro: 

Dashboards: Resolved an issue in the Management Dashboard where users were receiving an error upon selecting the Global Reassignment tab. Users can now access the Global Reassignment tab successfully without error.

Worktrays: Resolved an issue where users were experiencing a delay and freezing when reassigning Worktray tasks. Users can now reassign Worktray tasks without delay or freezing.

Dashboards: Resolved an issue where data at the bottom of the Dashboard was being cut off. All data will now be displayed successfully.

Power Tools: Resolved an issue where new employees’ names were not appearing in the Project/Task Assignments Power Tool when attempting to reassign tasks by Employee. Newly added employees will now appear in the Project/Task Assignments Power Tool.

PensionPro: 

Blast Email: Resolved an issue where the Participant Statement Delivery field was missing from the Blast Email filters and selections menu. The Participant Statement Delivery field will now be displayed in the Blast Email filters and selections window successfully.

Blast Email: Resolved an issue where the Plan Cycle Period Start was being added to Blast Email selections when only the Project Start was being selected. The Blast Email Recipients tab will now populate the correct filters and selections successfully.

FTW Integration: Resolved an issue where users were receiving an error message when attempting to link an FTW 5500 Signer. Users can now link 5500 signers successfully without error.

Tasks: Fixed a typo in the Confirm Completion Date Removal pop-up when removing task completion.  

Power Tools: Resolved an issue in Power Tools where users could execute changes successfully, but when returning back to the Selections tab and changing a value selection, records would not populate. The records will now populate successfully after returning to the Selections tab.

Dashboards: Made enhancements to the efficiency of the Global Reassignment tab of the Management Dashboard so users can now access and utilize the Global Reassignment tab without error.

 

Fetch Web: 

Fetch Web: Resolved an issue where toggles were being returned to Null upon adding any filters. Toggles will no longer be returned to Null values when adding filters.

Fetch Web: Resolved an issue where the Trading Platform field were missing. The Trading Platform field has been added and will populate successfully.

Fetch Web: Resolved an issue where the screen was freezing, disabling functionality when attempting to duplicate a query. Queries can now be duplicated successfully without timing out.

 

API: 

API: Resolved an issue where users were receiving errors when attempting to make calls to the Fee Schedule endpoints. Users can now make calls to Fee Schedule endpoints successfully.

PensionPro: 

Timeslips: Resolved an issue where a duplicate timeslip was added when uses would click ctrl+s twice when adding a new timeslip. Now one timeslip will be created, even if ctrl+s is clicked twice by mistake.

Power Tools: Resolved an issue when reassigning tasks in the Project/Task Assignments Power Tool where unassigned tasks were being returned when adding a filter for “Last Name is equal to.” Results will now only display tasks assigned to the filtered employee name.

Management Dashboard: Resolved an issue in the Management Dashboard where projects were being displayed multiple times under the Global Reassignment tab. Projects will now only be listed once on the Global Reassignment tab.

Merge Documents: A Use Custom Formatting toggle has been added to the Merge Documents Template editor to better assist users adding formatting to their merge fields. When Use Custom Formatting is set to "Yes," any custom formatting for merge fields will be applied to the finished Merge Document for currency and date types. When Use Custom Formatting is set to "No," the Merge Document feature will not apply any formatting to Merge Fields for currency and date types. 

  • When adding new Merge Document Templates, the Use Custom Formatting toggle is defaulted to "No."
  • All prior Merge Document templates created before release were defaulted to "Yes" for the Use Custom Formatting toggle.
  • If a user’s template contains custom formatting, but the Use Custom Formatting option is set to “No,” the Merge Fields containing formatting in the Word document will not populate values in the created Merge Document.

Merge Documents: Resolved an issue where the Client Category merge field was not available under Client > General. The Client Category merge field now appears and can be used successfully.

Blast Email: Resolved an issue where the Sender Signature was not populating in the Blast Email Recipients tab. The Sender Signature will now populate on the Recipients tab successfully.

Plan Cycles: Fixed spelling mistake (filing) in the Refresh Plan Cycle Data pop up.

Power Tools: Resolved an issue in the ftwilliam.com Express Import where users were able to import Plans from Ft William that were missing a company name, as this is not a mandatory field in ftwilliam.com. Plans missing company names will not be imported into PensionPro.

 

PlanSponsorLink: 

Data Collection: Resolved an issue on the Employees tab where users were able to enter and save a Social Security Number with less than 9 digits. Users will now receive an error message that the SSN must be 9 digits.

Data Collection: Resolved an issue where the Contact Info grid was being cut off in the Data Collection report. The contact Info grid will now display all information successfully without any information being cut off.

PlanSponsorLink: Resolved an issue where plans that were deactivated for all activity were still showing in PlanSponsorLink. Plan Information does not appear in PlanSponsorLink once the plan has been deactivated.

 

Secure File Exchange: 

Secure File Exchange: Resolved an issue where employees who were not marked to Show On PSL were still showing in the “To” field Secure File Exchanges. Now when users are not marked to Show On PSL, their names will not appear in the “To” field on Secure File Exchange.

Secure File Exchange: Resolved an issue where all recipients of a Secure File Exchange would receive a reminder email if all recipients did not access the file. Now when one recipient accesses the file, reminder emails will stop.

Secure File Exchange: Resolved an issue where the new language added to the Secure File Exchange > New Exchange Email Body preference was not being displayed in new exchanges. Any changes made to the New Email Body will be displayed successfully in any new outbound Secure File Exchanges.

 

Fetch Web: 

Fetch Web: Resolved an issue where the exported query results were showing as blank when a Project Period End filter was added. The exported results now display all information successfully when a Project Period End filter has been added.

 

 

4/18/2019: PensionPro version 1.31.1.65

Enhancements

 

Fetch Web: The Fetch querying tool can now be accessed from the web for Business Tier users. As we transition PensionPro to be fully browser-based, Fetch on the Web has also been made available for users on the feature complete Premium tier.

  • All your existing queries will be waiting for you in the new web version and much of the interface and layout will be familiar. We focused our efforts on ease of use and simplifying some of the more complicated elements of building queries.
  • Users can access Fetch Web directly from PensionPro by clicking Power Tools > Fetch. Users will be automatically logged into Fetch when accessing directly from PensionPro.
  • Fetch Web is completely browser-based and can be accessed on nearly any device using a modern browser. The desktop version of Fetch will still be available, so don't worry if you want to use both. The desktop version of Fetch will be supported until June 30th, 2019.
  • A Library Queries section has been added giving users access to preformatted queries they may find helpful, especially when learning to create queries.
  • Users can Duplicate Queries.

New Features

Email Notifications: Team and Business Tier users can now elect to receive email notifications from PensionPro when Proposals, Prospects, Tasks or To-dos are created activated or reassigned to them, alerting those users to check their Dashboard for updates.

Email notifications can be enabled for the actions listed below. Email notifications will be sent to the PensionPro user regarding changes to their dashboards based on application preferences set by the firm or user. Individual users will not receive email notifications for items if the recipient of the email is the same as the initiator of the action.

  • Prospect Assignment Email Notification: A user will receive an email notification when a prospect is assigned to the user.
  • Proposal Assignment Email Notification: A user will receive an email notification when a proposal is assigned to the user.
  • Task Reassignment Email Notification: A user will receive an email notification when a task is reassigned to the user.
  • Task Activation Email Notification: A user will receive an email notification when a task is created and assigned to the user.
  • To-Do Reassignment Email Notification: A user will receive an email notification when a To-Do is reassigned to the user.
  • Worktray Reassignment Email Notification: A user will receive an email notification when a task is reassigned to the Team/Worktray.
  • Worktray Task Activation Email Notification: A user will receive an email notification when a task is created and assigned to the Team/Worktray.

Authorized Computer Management: Team and Business Tier users can add an additional level of security by controlling which specific computers in their office can access PensionPro.

 

Tweaks and Fixes:

PensionPro: 

Project Templates: Resolved an issue on the Template Summary Details screen where if the screen was minimized, a scroll bar was not generated, cutting off some of the information displayed on this screen. A scroll bar will now be generated so that all information can be viewed in smaller windows.

Tasks: Resolved an issue where the Activate button had to be clicked multiple times to Activate a Task. Tasks will now be Activated after clicking the button one time.

Preferences: Resolved an issue in the Distribution Preferences Field Set Up tab where the fields were not populating after clicking on the edit icon. The fields will now populate successfully when attempting to edit.

Worktrays: Resolved an issue where an error message would not be displayed when attempting to add a duplicate Team Name. Users will now receive an error message that the Team Name already exists.

Worktrays: Resolved an issue where deleting a Team Name would display a pop up confirming that the Team Member would be deleted. The pop up will now confirm that the Team will be deleted, not the Team Member.

Fee Schedules: Resolved an issue where users were unable to add Fee Schedules with the same name, although the Start Dates were different. Users will now be able to add multiple Fee Schedules with the same name, given that the Start Dates are different.

Power Tools: Resolved an issue where the same TPA Plan ID could be added across multiple plans. Now the TPA Plan ID can only be removed in Power Tools.

Contacts: When deleting a contact, users would receive an error message that the contact could not be deleted because it was linked to a data collection contact issue. Users may now delete a contact even if it is linked to a data collection contact issue.

Import: Resolved an issue where the Plan Names were not being displayed when exporting the DOL Express Import results. Plan Names will now be displayed when available.

Merge Documents: Resolved an issue where users were receiving a message that “No matching merge fields were found” when adding the Plan Cycle Status Merge Field. The merge field results will now display successfully. 

Fee Schedules: Resolved an issue where users were unable to save changes on the Edit Fee Schedule Item window. Users can now edit Fee Schedule items successfully.

Event Management: Resolved an issue where users were receiving an Uhandled Exception error in Event Management when clicking on the Suggested tab. Users will now be able to access the Suggested tab successfully without error.

 

Fetch: 

Fetch: Resolved an issue where queries containing selections for old nodes would not run successfully. Saved queries containing nodes that are no longer available will be converted to remove those nodes and will now run successfully.

 

API:

API: Added endpoints for Fee Schedules and Distributions.

API: Resolved an issue where users were receiving an error for the Fee Schedules endpoint. Users can now successfully make calls to the Fee Schedules endpoint.

 

SalesPitch: 

Conversion Tool: Resolved an issue where users were unable to convert proposals when Similar Plan names were entered in the system. Users will now receive a warning message that similar Plan names exist, but will still be able to convert the Proposal.

SalesPitch: Resolved an issue where users were receiving an error when attempting to edit Proposal Information. Users will now be able to edit Proposal Information successfully.

SalesPitch: Resolved an issue where users were unable to import a Prospect without a Proposal. Users will now be able to successfully import Prospects without Proposals.

Tweaks and Fixes:

 

PensionPro: 

Projects: Resolved an issue where users could create a project with an External Deadline Amount of -2 years. Users will now receive an error that the External Deadline cannot be before the Project Start.

Projects: Resolved an issue where grouping tasks by project due date in the My Tasks tab for a project that was created with an External Deadline Amount of 0, and Increment None, the tasks would sort by an invalid due date. Tasks will now show without a due date.


Distribution Preferences
: Resolved an issue where a Distribution Field could be marked as required without being marked as shown. Users will now receive an error message that states that a field cannot be added as “required” when not selected to “show.”

Power Tools: Resolved an issue in the Project/Task Assignment Power Tool where the Power Tool would appear to successfully reassign tasks to a role that has not been added to a particular plan. Users will now receive a message under the Failed tab that the tasks have not been reassigned because the selected role has not been assigned to the plan.

Fees: Resolved an issue where users could create duplicate Fee Schedules by double-clicking the save button. Users can now only create one Fee Schedule record even when double-clicking the save button in order to avoid duplicate Fee Schedules being created.

Preferences: Resolved an issue where changes were not saved when editing a Fee Schedule. Users will now be able to edit Fee Schedule items successfully.

Time: Resolved an issue on the Time Codes Maintenance screen where clicking the refresh icon would not refresh the information. Users can now refresh the information on the Time Codes Maintenance screen successfully.

Power Tools: Resolved an issue in the To-Do Power Tool where the Select To-Do count did not match the To-Do count on the Reassign tab after clicking Execute. The task count will now match on the Select To-Do, and the Reassign tab.

 

Fetch:

Fetch: Resolved an issue where the value for a selected Project Field was not being displayed in the results tab. The selected Project Field value will now be displayed on the results tab.

 

 

PlanSponsorLink:

Data Collection: Fixed spelling mistake (sufficient) in the Data Collection Report.

 

API:

API: Resolved an issue where the “PATCH” endpoint was exposed in error. The endpoint is now hidden.

Merge Documents: Resolved an issue where Total Recurring Revenue and Total Non-Recurring Revenue SalesPitch Proposal fields were missing from Merge Documents. Users can now add these merge fields successfully.

Projects: Resolved an issue with extension projects where the extension value did not match the template. The extension value will now be marked as true for extension projects.

Preferences: Resolved an issue where users were not able to refresh the data in the Web Steps preference tab. Web Steps preferences will now refresh successfully.  

Secure File Exchange: Resolved an issue where files were inaccessible in Secure File Exchange and PlanSponsorLink. Files in Secure File Exchange and PlanSponsorLink now appear and can be accessed successfully.

Preferences: Resolved an issue where users were able to add a fee schedule template with the same name as an existing template. Users will now receive an error message when adding a fee schedule template if a template already exists with the same name.

Firms/Locations: Resolved an issue where a location could be added with the same name as an existing location. Users will now receive an error message stating that the entered location name already exists. 

Interactions: Resolved an issue where a time stamp of 12:00 AM was added to interactions that were entered manually. The Interaction Date will now display without the time stamp. 

To-Do: Resolved an issue where To-Dos would still be displayed on the employee’s To-Do grid after being reassigned. Also resolved an issue where To-Dos could be assigned to an empty field. Reassigned To-Dos will now be removed from the employee’s To-Do grid upon reassignment. The To-Dos assigned to field will now populate successfully.

Clients: Resolved an issue where the green plus icon was greyed out when attempting to add a Client address. Users can now successfully add Client addresses.

Merge Documents: Resolved an issue where adding date formats (\@ MM/dd/yyyy) to Sponsor Signed Date and Admin Signed Date Merge Fields would cause the created merge document to appear blank. The merge document will now be created successfully when adding date formats to the Sponsor Signed Date and Admin signed Date Merge Fields.

Merge Documents: Resolved an issue where the value for any Plan Cycle Financial information that was entered as $0.00 was shown as blank in the Merge Document. The Financial information with a value of $0.00 will now display as 0 in the merge document.

Blast Email: Resolved an issue where users would receive a time out error when project merge fields were added to the subject line and body, and the corresponding filters were added to the recipients tab. Users can now add project merge fields in the subject line and body along with the corresponding filters on the recipients tab successfully.

Blast Email: Resolved an issue where users were receiving the error “The request has timed out because it was too large. Please add additional filters.” The recipients will now populate successfully after multiple filters and project fields are added.

 

PlanSponsorLink:

Login: Resolved an issue where inactive contacts were able to request a new password on PlanSponsorLink. Inactive contacts will now receive an error message when attempting to rest their password.

 

Fetch:

Fetch: Resolved an issue where Fetch was not sorting by the Note Category – DisplayName. Note Category has been added as a list value and users will now be able to filter by Note Category successfully.  

Fetch: Resolved an issue where users would receive an error message when project field filters were added. Users can now add project field filters without error.

Plan ID: Resolved an issue where some TPA Plan IDs were being displayed as dates. TPA Plan IDs will now be displayed as entered, and not translated to dates.

Deactivated Plans: Resolved an issue where Plan Contacts were still able to login to PlanSponsorLink and access Plan related information for Plans that were deactivated for all activity. Now when plans are deactivated for all activity, PSL Enabled and Distributions Enabled are automatically marked as No, removing access to the plan’s information on PSL.

Plans: Resolved an issue where clicking the Project Fields tab on Plan Details would cause an error. Users can now click on the Project Fields tab and have the applicable information load successfully.

Data Collection: Resolved an issue where users given the Contacts website right were able to download the Data Collection Report and view all of the submitted information. Users will now only have access to the information that coincides with their given website rights. 

Documents: Resolved an issue where users could upload the same file with the same file type to a given plan. Users will now receive an error message that states that a file with this title was already found on this plan.

Management Dashboard: Resolved an issue where the Management dashboard would only display employee names in the dropdown if the signed in users was a Team Member or Team Leader on a Worktray. Employee names and workloads now appear for the signed in user with rights to the Management dashboard, regardless if the user is linked to a Worktray.

Files: Resolved an issue where users could not upload a file with the same name for unassociated Opportunities or Proposals. Users can now successfully upload files with the same name to unassociated Opportunities and Proposals.

Reports: Resolved an issue where users would get an error message when attempting to save report filters. Now users can successfully save and load report filters.

Fetch: Resolved an issue with Filters where users would add filters on Distribution Project Completed On Dates and executed results would bring back information outside of the filters. Fetch date filters now work successfully.

Imports: Resolved an issue where the FTW Express Import tool did not assign an Administration Type value to plans, causing plan information to not appear on reports. Merge Documents: Resolved an issue where users would get an error message stating that no valid merge fields were available when creating a merge document in the Merge Document Creation Wizard. Users can now successfully create Merge Documents in the wizard.

Data Collection: Resolved an issue in Internet Explorer 11 where users would save a date on the Employer Questionnaire step of data collection and the date would not appear after returning to that step. Projects: Resolved an issue where users could create a project that had a Start Date after the Project Due Date. Entering a Start Date prior to the Due date when adding a project will result in an error message stating that “Start date must be before Due Date.”

Projects: Resolved an issue where users would get a general error message when creating a project with a Period Start Date or Period End Date after 6/6/2079. The system now generates an error message stating that the Period Start Date or Period End Date should not be after 6/6/2079.

Merge Documents: Resolved an issue where Merge Fields for decimal data types would change the format from a decimal to a date format. The decimal data type Merge Field now remains as a decimal format.

Notes: Resolved an issue where notes entered on the same day would not appear in chronological order when sorted. Notes now sort with Importance first and then by creation date and time. Important notes are listed newest at the top of the grid.

API: Resolved an issue where the API Plans endpoint would not function correctly for the SELECT parameter. The API now functions properly when Using the SELECT parameter for the Plans endpoint.

Preferences: Removed the Auto Archive Preference from the PlanSponsorLink Preferences dropdown in PensionPro. As archiving Secure File Exchanges is no longer available, the Auto Archive preference was no longer in use.

Proposals: Resolved an issue where the Service Effective On date would not pull into the appropriate date when using the arrow buttons on the SalesPitch Conversion Tool. Users had to manually enter the Service Effective On date in the appropriate field. The arrow buttons now bring the Service Effective On Date forward when it was entered on the Opportunity level in PensionPro.

Secure File Exchange: Resolved an issue where Secure File Exchange was not displaying the file and files were unable to be downloaded. Files sent using Secure File Exchange now appear and can successfully be downloaded.

Merge Documents: Resolved an issue where the Secure File Exchange PensionPro preferences would display a 1 and a 3 in the Reminder Frequency preference dropdown. The dropdown menu for this preference now displays Never or 7 days.

 

Fetch:

Fetch: Resolved an issue where unlinked MEP Plans were still appearing as linked to a MEP Master even after the MEP Master plan was unchecked as a MEP Master. Now all MEP Plans must be unlinked before the linked MEP Master Plan can be unchecked as a MEP Master.

 

PlanSponsorLink:

Data Collection: Resolved an issue where plan sponsors would receive an error message stating that all prior tasks have not been completed when attempting to complete the Approval step of Data Collection even when all prior tasks were completed.

Data Collection: Resolved an issue where dates entered on the Plan step of Data Collection would change to one day prior to the date entered when users would save and move back to the Plan Step. The dates entered now hold and save as intended, no longer changing to one day prior.

Data Collection: Resolved an issue where some plan sponsors would get a “Could Not Identify Client” message when attempting to export a census file from the Employees step of Data Collection. Plan sponsors can now successfully export a census from the Employees step.

Documents: Resolved an issue where users would open the Data Collection Report on the Documents tab of PlanSponsorLink and the report would hide contact rows and information on the Contact tab if the contact listed did not have an address or phone number and a Contact Issue was listed for that contact on the Data Collection. The Data Collection Report no longer hides rows on the Contact tab of the report.

Contacts: Resolved an issue where Contacts added on the Company level and users would click back on the Company Details tab, the system would spin and never load. Adding a Contact on the Company level and clicking back on the Company Details tab will load the screen successfully.

Data Collection: Resolved an issue where a Changed on Web (triangle) icon would appear on the Data Collection > Approval tab when plan sponsors would make changes to the Company step of Data Collection on PlanSponsorLink. Making edits on the Contacts step no longer results in a Changed on Web icon appearing on the Data Collection > Approval tab in PensionPro.

Dashboards: Resolved an issue where users could encounter an error when opening the Proposal Status Scoreboard when many Proposals were assigned to them. The Proposal Status Dashboard’s performance has been enhanced so users can load the Proposal Status successfully.

Dashboards: Resolved an issue where the Management Dashboard would not display all employees on the Currently Assigned dropdown menu of the Global Reassignment tab. The Currently Assigned dropdown now displays all employees without issue.

Dashboards: Resolved an issue where no active project tasks would appear in some new user’s Dashboard. New users should now see assigned, active project tasks on their My Tasks Dashboard.

Proposals: Resolved an issue where users editing Services Provided for a Proposal would view inactive Services Provided List Values in the Service dropdown menu. Inactive Services Provided no longer appear in the dropdown menu.

Blast Email: Resolved an issue where the Merge Field for Plan Cycle > Net Plan Assets – BOY would display the value for MEP Name. The Net Plan Assets – BOY Merge Field now displays it’s applicable field value.

Merge Documents: Resolved an issue where Merge Document templates referencing the same Document Specification Merge Field would cause a “No Matching Merge Fields Were Found” message when creating a merge document with that template. Users can reference the same Document Specification Merge Field multiple times in a Merge Document without getting this error.

Files: Resolved an issue where users would get a generic error message when attempting to upload a file with the same name on an Opportunity or Proposal. Users will now get a detailed message informing them that they cannot have two files with the same name listed for the Opportunity or Proposal.

Imports: Resolved an issue where the FTW Express Import would timeout. The FTW Express Import performance has been enhanced to reduce timeout issues.

 

 

PlanSponsorLink:

General Web Collection: Resolved an issue where plan sponsors could continue to upload files to a completed General Web Collection on PlanSponsorLink. Once the Data Collection Task Grouping of the General Web Collection project are completed, plan sponsors can no longer upload files to that project on PlanSponsorLink.

Sorting: Resolved an issue where sorting on PlanSponsorLink for project names would not appear in alphabetical order. PlanSponsorLink users can now sort successfully for project names.

  • Merge Documents: Added a switch for Allow Missing Data to the Merge Document Template Editor. If set to “No,” users must populate fields that are missing data. If set to “Yes,” users can create a Merge Document when a Merge Field has missing data.
  • Merge Documents: Resolved an issue where users could not enter “OP_Company_Name Merge Field within the Merge Document Template > Fields tab File Name field for Merge Document templates with a SalesPitch Data Source. Users can now add “OP_Comany_Name” to the File Name for a Merge Document Template.
  • Plan Cycles: The Refresh Plan Cycle Data button was updated to include a specific message when the button is pushed depending on DOL data availability.   • ftwilliam.com Integration: Resolved an issue where the API key could not be left as blank.  The API Key may now be blank which will result in the integration being unverified and disconnected.
  • Notes: Screen would refresh without the Loading Notes Spinner displaying. The busy spinner will now display during the refresh of Notes.
  • Blast Email: When using the Project Period End merge field in the Subject line, 12:00 a.m. would also appear. This merge field has been corrected to only display the date when used in the Subject line.
  • SalesPitch Conversion: When converting a proposal, if on the conversion the “create plan in ftwilliam.com” was chosen as Yes, plans were not linking to ftwilliam.com. This has been corrected and converted plans will now display in PensionPro as well as ftwilliam.com
  • Merging Firms: When Secure files were merged from one firm to another, the expiration date was not transferring with the file causing invalid reminders to be sent. This has been corrected so that when firms are merged the secure file expiration date will transfer preventing the invalid reminders to be sent.

PSL:

  • Inactive Contact: When a 5500 signer was marked as inactive, they could still sign into PSL and the “sign 5500” button would still display. This has been corrected so that any inactive contacts will be unable to login to PSL

  • Data Collection: Resolved an issue where PSL users could enter invalid dates in Questionnaire steps of Annual Data Collection and save. This would result in values of “NaNaNaN” on PensionPro for the field. Invalid dates are now cleared if entered on PlanSponsorLink.
  • Event Management: Resolved an issue where users would get an error message stating that “Could not add the event. This Event Configuration has already been assigned to this project” when they would edit a Project Task that was linked to an Event Configuration. Users no longer receive the error message and can save changes successfully.
  • Ftwilliam.com Integration: Resolved an issue where the Integration field would not appear at the bottom of the Client Details or Plan Details screens when the Create Records in ftwilliam.com checkbox was left unchecked on the ftwilliam.com Preferences.   • Secure File Exchange: When searching for a Contact in Secure File Exchange in PensionPro the email address will now be displayed if the contact has an email address. If no email is present then MISSING EMAIL ADDRESS will be displayed.
  • Secure File Exchange: This new feature allows users to upload multiple files to multiple contacts. It also allows user to set Expiration Dates, Notifications, and Reminder Frequencies. Users can now create customized Emails, Notifications, and Reminders. 
  • Event Management: This new feature available for our Business tier allows clients to track the events that drive the deadlines for Plans. Here users can create, monitor and control a standard set of events that are tied to Projects Tasks in PensionPro.

There is a switch in the ftwilliam.com integration settings to enable this. This new feature has been made available for the Premium and Business tiers.
  • Blast Email html Editor and Import Tool Enhancement: Updates and enhancements have been made to our Blast Email html Editor and Import Tools. New Help links have been added to assist you in creating Blast Emails and Importing your information. 
  • Milestone Dashboard Enhancements: Additional dates have been added to our Milestone dashboard to increase the functionality of PensionPro for those not utilizing Projects. Additional fields have been added for enhanced process tracking.
  • New Plan Cycle Data Import: Added a new import to that allows for Creating a Plan Cycle while adding data to the newly created Plan Cycle. This import is found under the Power Tools\Import\Plan Cycle Data menu.
  • Additional Plan Cycle Fields: Two new fields were added for Plan Cycles- Safe Harbor and Plan Cycle Status. These fields display on the Plan\Plan Cycles grid and in the Plan Cycle\General tab.
  • Add/Edit Plan Cycles Security Right:A new security right was added to control who has access to Add or Edit Plan Cycles.
  • Fields Added to Dashboards and Blast Email: Three new fields have been added to the dashboard for Project Tasks: Follow-up Date, Task Status, and Category (Task). Task Status and Category (Task) are list values that can be created by clicking on Maintenance\List Values\Projects.
  • Clients Field Update Power Tool: Added new functionality to the existing Clients Field Update Power Tool to allow changes to the Location, as well as removing the Client ID and Search Text on multiple Clients at once. The Power Tool is found under the Power Tools\Field Update\Clients menu.
  • Investment Providers Power Tool: New Power Tool that adds the ability for Investment Providers to be managed across multiple Plans simultaneously. The Power Tool is found under the Power Tools\Field Update\Investment Providers menu.
  • Services Provided Power Tool: New Power Tool that adds the ability for Services Provided to be managed across multiple Plans simultaneously. The Power Tool is found under the Power Tools\Plans\Services Provided menu.
  • Services Provided Import Tool: New import that adds the ability to import Services Provided across all Plans. To streamline the import process, enhancements were made to this import to help identify issues within the spreadsheet while importing. The import tool is found under the Power Tools\Import\PensionPro Setup\Services Provided menu.
  • Relationship Tab Available to All Tiers: The Relationships tab on Contacts has been opened to all Tiers of PensionPro. SalesPitch was previously required to access this tab which contains core customer relationship management details.
  • SalesPitch Rights Notification: Added an extra prompt before applying SalesPitch Security Rights to employees to ensure any additional fees are explicit.
  • ftwilliam.com Navigation Assistance: This new feature places a WoltersKluwer branded button in the header bar of the Clients, Plans, Projects, and Plan Cycles screens. With the exception of the Clients screen which will take you to the Company in ftwilliam.com, the button on all other screens is a split button giving options to navigate to Plan Documents, Compliance, and 5500 Forms. There is a switch in the ftwilliam.com integration settings to enable this. This new feature is only available for the Business tier.
  • Icon Update: We have updated our icon on your desktop!
  • PlanSponsorlink URL customization: In Firms/Locations the Firm has the ability to customize their PlanSponsorLink URL.
  • Reports: The location of various reports has been changed in order to allow the user to access reports faster and more efficiently. The List Reports and Exception Reports were moved into Contacts, Clients and Companies, and Plans. Users can find those reports by clicking on the appropriate section in the Reports menu.

PlanSponsorLink:

  • Census Import Column Mapping: Added functionality to PSL that allows users to map columns found in their import that do not directly match to columns in PensionPro. This functionality is controlled by a PensionPro preference found under Preferences\General\PlanSponsorLink\”Census Import Column Mapping”.
  • PSL Usability Enhancements: Added new functionality that enables users to change the way their data is displayed in PSL. The existing view, called “Grouped,” is the default, with the addition of a “Search,” where users can select the amount of data to display per tab and a search bar to allow for more specific searching of items within PSL. For the Plan Sponsors, there is a new “User Preferences” section within PSL to manage the way their data is displayed. This preference may also be modified within PensionPro in Contact Details slider menu with the “PSL Data Display Type” and “PSL Default Page Size” selections.
  • Employee Census Import Formula Check: Improved Census Import functionality to match all other imports inside of PensionPro. Spreadsheets that contain formulas will not be imported, instead an error message will return with cells that need to be modified to remove formulas to import successfully.

  • Additional DOL Fields: Additional DOL fields have been added to Plan Cycles that will auto-populate with data from the DOL for years after 2010.
  • SalesPitch Conversion Tool: SalesPitch users can now easily migrate SalesPitch data from SalesPitch to PensionPro. The new conversion tool facilitates converting SalesPitch data, combined with data from the DOL, to create new a new Client and Plan in PensionPro.  
    • New Clients will retain the address, phone number, and an employer data record for the most recent year.
    • New Plans can retain contacts, investment providers, services, and fee schedules from SalesPitch, based on selections made during the conversion process.
    • New Clients and Plans can be automatically created in ftwilliam.com during the conversion process.
    • Plan Cycles created during the conversion process will be auto-populated with data from the DOL.
    • A new Security Right has been added to control which users are able to use the conversion tool in order to protect data integrity.

  • Blast Email Interruption: Addressed users being able to interrupt the sending of Blast Emails by selecting different tabs within Blast Email while sending. Added a cancel button to allow users to stop sending Blast Emails once started.

New Features and Enhancements

PensionPro:

  • Mark for Deletion: Added “Marked for Deletion” to all item types that can be deleted through the Data Deletion Manager (client, company, contact, distribution, location, plan cycle, plan, project). Only items that are marked for deletion will display in the Data Deletion Manager.
  • Enhanced Deletion: Added the ability to multi-select and delete items from the Data Deletion Manager.
  • Remove Activation Dates when Removing Completion of a Task: When removing the completion date for a Task, the Activation Date is now removed from all subsequent tasks.
  • Time Tracking in all Tiers: Time tracking functionality is no longer reserved for premium tier customers and is enabled in all tiers of PensionPro.
  • Important Note Identification: New functionality allows for marking notes as “Important”. Important notes are sticky and will stay at the top of the list of notes.
  • Note Counts: Added note counts to Notes tabs throughout PensionPro. The count is updated whenever new items are added or removed.

  • Terms of Service in PSL: Added a Terms of Service popup that, if activated, requires PSL users to accept the Terms before accessing PSL. Once the Terms are accepted, end users will not have to accept the terms again, unless an update is made to them. The contents of the Terms of Service are added through an HTML editor and can be formatted as desired.
  • Census Scrubbing in PSL: Added the ability to turn off validation of testing rules in PSL when updating the Employee Census step. Validation will always be enforced in PensionPro, regardless of this setting.

PensionPro:

  • Document Specifications Import: Fixed a bug that allowed users to select the ‘Finish’ button during an import that gave the impression of executing the import but in reality did not.
  • Generic Error when Adding Distribution: Fixed a rare issue during adding a Distribution that displayed a generic error to the user without adding any context or solution.
  • Blast Email/Power Tool Filter Selections: Removed invalid scenarios that were allowed in Data Filters for Blast Email and Power Tools.
  • Confirmation Message when Removing Completion Date from a Task: Made the wording more concise when removing the Completion Date from a Task.
  • Drag and Drop Interactions from Outlook: Resolved an issue regarding interactions not importing contact information.
  • Document Specifications Import Errors: Fixed a problem that was seen during Document Specification import where columns that were included in the import were still being validated and prohibited users to continue importing.
  • Dashboard Location Restriction: Fixed a loophole that allowed users to access Plans in unauthorized locations.

NEW FEATURES AND ENHANCEMENTS

PensionPro:

  • Time Filters: New Time filters have been added at the top of the Time Entry and Review screen to help with viewing time. Time can be filtered by today, yesterday, this week, last week, this month, last month in addition to custom ranges.
  • Time Entry Start Time: Time can be added from the beginning of a work day based off of a selection by the user. The start time selected will default once selected but is available for edit.  The Add Time Slip slider will reflect the amount of time that has elapsed since the last entered time slip based off the start time entered by the user.
  • Time Entry Set Time Worked: A Set Time Worked button has been added to the Add Time Slip slider that allows the user to select the elapsed time since the last time entry based upon the current time and start time.  This is an optional election by the user.
  • Time Weekly Summary: Feature has been moved to the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
  • Time Slip Population when adding time from a Project Task: The tool has been improved to run faster when adding time from a project task.
  • Time Entry Shortcut <Ctrl>+<T>: When adding a Time Entry, the shortcut now auto fills the Time Entry slider when on a Plan, Project, Task Grouping or Task.
  • Project Deletion: A new field called “Marked for Deletion” has been added and can be set from the Project Summary or from the Project Field Update Power Tool. Using this field will immediately make the Project available for deletion on the Maintenance\Data Deletion screen.
  • Census Import by Plan Name: Census import through the Import Power Tool can now be done by Plan name as well as TPA Plan ID.
  • Gross Compensation Collection Field: Gross Compensation Collection Field is a new field added to the list of all collection fields in the Workflow Preference Maintenance\Collection Fields. This addition is defaulted to not be displayed and must be added by the user to the current Collection Fields.  Changes made to Collection fields immediately display on PlanSponsorLink.
  • Power Tool Selections: Increased available selections and filters across all Power Tools.
  • Primary Investment Provider Field: A field was added to the Plan Investment Providers screen indicating the primary Investment Provider. This field was added to allow the Investment Provider to be displayed on the Dashboard.  If a Plan has multiple Investments listed on the Plan Investment Providers screen, only the one marked as Primary can be displayed on the Dashboard.  For all non-deactivated Plans with only one non-terminated Investment Provider, the Primary Investment field has been marked as Yes.
  • Exit and Close Message: A confirmation message was added upon exiting the application.
  • Give Feedback: A new dropdown for Give Feedback is now available under the Help menu. Here you can leave feedback for us regarding product features.

PlanSponsorLink:

  • EIN Locking Application Preference: A new feature is available which controls the locking on the EIN field on the second step, or Company step, in the Annual Data Collection project on PlanSponsorLink. The Application Preference can be set by selecting Maintenance\Preferences\Workflow\General from the Application menu. Select Annual Data Collection from the Preference Type dropdown. The last item, Prevent EIN Editing, can be set according the user preference. If the app preference is set to no, it will never lock. If it is set to yes, it will only lock when this field has contains a value. Any changes made to this field will be immediately enabled on PlanSponsorLink.
  • Distribution Application Preferences: Preferences were added to determine whether or not the Distributions tab is visible on PlanSponsorLink. The preference can be found by going to the Application Menu and selecting Maintenance\Preferences\Workflow. From the Preference Type dropdown, choose PlanSponsorLink. The distribution tab will show on PlanSponsorLink based on the following:
  1. If Distributions are disabled on a firm level, the tab will always be hidden.
  2. If Distributions are enabled and the app preference for “Show Distributions Tab” is set to yes, then it will show only when the user logging into PlanSponsorLink has at least one plan with distributions.
  • Industry Bulletins Application Preferences: An app preference was added to hide or show the industry bulletins tab on PlanSponsorLink.
  • Document Grouping on PlanSponsorLink: Documents listed under the documents tab on PlanSponsorLink will now group and collapse based off of plan groupings and the number of plans.

TWEAKS AND FIXES

PensionPro:

  • Password Reset Error: Resolved the issue of attempting to reset passwords that did not meet the specific requirements of the password (3 out of 4 requirements). Reset would error without a message. The error pop up will now provide the correct message.
  • Project Field Filters on Blast Email: All filters except “is equal to” were removed from the project field’s data filters.
  • Employer Data Import: When importing Employer Date from the PPS preformatted Excel Workbooks, an issue has been resolved due to blank sheets within the Excel workbook.
  • Contact Screen Issues: Resolved an issue where the Contact Record intermittently went blank, displaying only the Last Interaction Date, but when clicking to edit, all data was available.
  • Client and Plan ID Length Requirements: Client and Plan IDs now require a minimum of three characters in order to use the search functionality in PensionPro.
  • Plan Termination Fields: The Terminated On and Termination Reason will always be visible on the General Plan Information edit slider, regardless of the plan status selected.
  • Drag and Drop Interactions from Outlook 2010: Resolved an issue regarding interactions not importing contact info from Outlook 2010.
  • Templates Importing without Time Codes: Resolved an issue that allowed a template to be imported without a time code which kept projects from launching.
  • Occasional Error When Adding Time: Fixed a bug that occasionally resulted in a one-time error for users when saving a time slip.
  • Time Code Resetting to Default: Resolved an issue where a manually set time code would reset back to the default when a time slip was being edited.
  • Time Slip - “Save & New” Not Working: Fixed an issue that caused the “Save & New” functionality of carrying over a previous date to default to the current date.
  • Blast Email Not Recording Interactions: Resolved a problem that caused interactions to not be recorded upon sending a Blast Email.
  • Notes - “Show on PSL”: Added the “Show on PSL” checkbox back onto the Project Notes slider.
  • Cannot Delete Project With Time Slips: Fixed a bug that prohibited users from deleting projects when time slips once existed on the project.
  • Assigning To-Dos: Fixed an issue where To-Dos were unable to be assigned from certain areas of the application.
  • Fee Schedule Errors: Fixed a bug that caused errors to display on the Fee Schedules tab on Plans.
  • Interactions Not Dragging Over Properly: Fixed an issue where dragging certain email types from Outlook were not recognized correctly and caused an error to display and Contact information to not autofill.
  • Plan Specifications Screen Problem: Resolved an issue that prohibited users from editing Document Specs in rare circumstances.
  • Error Bin Download Error: Fixed a bug that made it impossible to download certain types of incorrectly labeled files.

PlanSponsorLink:

  • Formatting 5500 Questionnaire: The 5500 questionnaire in the Annual Data Collection was not set up to use HTML. This has now been resolved and is available.
  • General Web Collection Not Closing on Approval Step: Resolved an issue that caused the ‘Sign and Submit Collection’ popup to stay on the display when a Contact with web rights attempted to submit a General Web Collection project. This resulted in multiple notes being sent showing multiple approvals being made.
  • Address Change Email Notification: Fixed an issue that was causing information to be omitted from the Address Change Email Notification in an Annual Data Collection project.
  • Help Tabs Not Displaying: Fixed an issue in PSL that caused the Help Tab to not load and instead display a server error.

Fetch:

  • New Installer: Version 1.13.1 is now available.
  • Export Issue: Some clients were having issues exporting some queries to Excel. This has been updated in the new version.
