Adding, Editing, and Deleting Company Details

The Company Details screen is where users can view and edit company information that is linked to either Contacts or Clients. Company Details are broken into multiple tabs which include Home, Address, Number, and Contacts tabs.

Security Rights Required: Edit/Merge Company Names

 

Home Tab

The Company Details Home tab allows users to view/edit the existing Company name that resides within the General tab. 

Merge Company Records | The merge function allows for the merging of two (2) separate companies. To perform, select the merge function to be performed and then enter the name of the target company and select it. Click the save button to complete the request.

All the remaining information that appears within the Company Details - Home tab is static and reflects information entered within the Client Details screen. Click on the link provided below to learn more about editing Client Details.

 

Address Tab

The Company Details Address tab provides the related Addresses associated with Companies.

Add an Address:

  1. On the Company Details / Address tab, click on the Add button on the right of the Addresses grid. An Add Company Address slider should appear.
  2. To add a new address, click on the Add button next to the Address dropdown menu.
    • If adding an existing Address, click the Address dropdown menu and select the Address.
  3. Fill out the Address information in the fields that appear after clicking the Add button. Select the boxes for Personal Address and/or Primary Address if applicable. Select an Address Type from the dropdown menu.
    • Address Type is a List Value, if an Address Type is not available click Maintenence > List Values, Select the General sub-tab, and select Address Type from the List Type dropdown menu. Click the Add button on the right of the grid and enter the new Address Type List Value.
  4. Click Save when complete.

Edit an Address:

  1. On the Company Details / Address tab, click once on an existing Address to highlight it then click the Edit button to the right of the Addresses grid. An Edit Company Address slider should appear.
  2. Edit the Address information in the fields that appear in the Edit Company Address slider. Select the box for Personal Address and/or Primary Address if applicable. Select an Address Type from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click Save when complete.

Delete an Address:

  1. On the Company Details / Address tab, click once on an existing Address to highlight it then click the Delete button to the right of the Addresses grid. 
  2. Click "Yes" to confirm deletion.

Fields Displayed

  • Address: In this field users will find all of the Addresses currently associated with this company.
  • Address Type:  In this field users should choose the type of Address from the dropdown menu provided in the edit screen

 

Numbers Tab

The Company Details Numbers tab provides phone number information for Contacts by Number and Number Type such a Telephone, Cell, Fax, etc.

Add a Number:

  1. On the Company Details / Numbers tab, click on the Add button on the right of the Numbers grid. An Add Company Number slider should appear.
  2. To add a new Number, click on the Add button next to the Number dropdown menu.
    • If adding an existing Number, click the Number dropdown menu and select the Number.
  3. Fill out the Number information in the fields that appear after clicking the Add button. Select the box for Personal Number and/or Primary Number if applicable. Select a Number Type from the dropdown menu.
    • Number Type is a List Value, if a Number Type is not available click Maintenence > List Values, Select the General sub-tab, and select Number Type from the List Type dropdown menu. Click the Add button on the right of the grid and enter the new Number Type List Value.
  4. Click Save when complete.

Edit a Number:

  1. On the Company Details / Numbers tab, click once on an existing Number to highlight it then click the Edit button to the right of the Number grid. An Edit Company Number slider should appear.
  2. Edit the Number information in the fields that appear in the Edit Company Number slider. Select the box for Primary Number if applicable. Select a Number Type from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click Save when complete.

Delete a Number:

  1. On the Company Details / Numbers tab, click once on an existing Number to highlight it then click the Delete button to the right of the Number grid. 
  2. Click "Yes" to confirm deletion.

Fields Displayed

Number: In this field users will find all of the Numbers currently associated with this Company.

Number Type: In this field users should choose the type of Number from the dropdown menu provided in the edit screen.

 

Contacts Tab

The Company Details Contacts tab displays all of the Contacts associated with the particular Company that has been selected.

Add a Company Contact: 

  1. On the Company Details / Contacts screen, click on the Add button to the right of the Contacts grid. An Add Contact slider should appear.
  2. Enter the First and Last Name of the Contact along with any other applicable fields on the slider.
  3. Click Save when complete. 

Edit a Company Contact:

  1. On the Company Details / Contacts screen, click once on a Contact's name from the grid to highlight it then click the Edit button to the right of the Contacts grid. An Edit Contact slider should appear.
  2. Edit any relevant information for the Contact.
  3. Click Save when complete. 

Fields Displayed

  • Name: This field displays the first and last name of the Contact.

  • Email Address: This field displays the email address associated with the Contact.
