Updating Rights to View (Desktop)

In order to successfully view information in PensionPro, users must have the rights to view that information. Ultimately, viewing information comes down to the access of Location Rights and the Access SalesPitch user right. These rights grant access to view information using the Search Feature and what data is returned when running reports.

Tier Availability: Core, Essential, Premium, Business

Add-On Availability: SalesPitch

Security Rights Needed: Add/Edit Employee

 

  Note: Some items may not be available in all tiers.

 

Location Rights

In PensionPro a user will only see Clients, Prospects, Plans, Opportunities, and Proposals that are linked to the Location(s) the user is assigned to. This restriction also applies to reports. All Contacts are accessible, regardless of Location(s) users are assigned to. Location rights can be assigned from the Locations tab of the Employee Details screen. Add Location Rights to an Employee

  1. Click on the Company Directory on the left of the screen.
  2. Double-click on the employee who is to be updated.
  3. Select the Locations Tab on the Employee Details screen.
  4. Click the Add button to the right of the grid. The Add Rights slider will appear.
  5. Select the Location right to be added from the Location dropdown menu.
  6. Click Save to complete.

Delete Employee Location Rights

  1. Click on the Company Directory on the left of the screen.
  2. Double-click on the employee who is to be updated.
  3. Select the Locations Tab on the Employee Details screen.
  4. Highlight the Location to be deleted by clicking on it once.
  5. Click the Delete button to the right of the grid.
  6. Click Yes to confirm deletion.

 

Access SalesPitch Information

The Access SalesPitch user right grants users the ability to see Prospect, Opportunity and Proposal data. Without this right, users cannot see any Proposals, Opportunities, or Prospects at all. The Access SalesPitch user right also grants users access to the Scoreboard Dashboard.

Add the Access SalesPitch Rights to an Employee

  1. Click on the Company Directory on the left of the screen.
  2. Double-click on the employee who is to be updated.
  3. Select the Security Rights Tab on the Employee Details screen.
  4. Click the Add button to the right of the grid. The Add Security Rights slider will appear.
  5. Select the Access SalesPitch right from the Available Rights dropdown menu. 
  6. Click the Add button next to the dropdown menu to add the right.
  7. Click Save to complete.
