Updating Rights to View

In order to successfully view information in PensionPro, users must have the rights to view that information. Ultimately, viewing information comes down to the access of Location Rights and the Access SalesPitch user right. These rights grant access to view information using the Search Feature and even what data is returned when running reports.

Tier Availability: Core, Essential, Premium, Business

Add-On Availability: SalesPitch

Security Rights Needed: Add/Edit Employee

 

Location Rights

In PensionPro a user will only see Clients, Prospects, Plans, Opportunities, and Proposals that are linked to the Location(s) that the user has been assigned. This restriction also applies to reports. All Contacts are accessible, regardless of Location. Location rights can be assigned from the Locations tab of the Employee Details screen. 

To Add a Location Right to an Employee:

  1. Click on the Company Directory on the left of the screen.
  2. Double-click on the employee who is to be updated.
  3. Select the Locations Tab on the Employee Details screen.
  4. Click the Add button to the right of the grid. Add Right slider will appear.
  5. Click the Location dropdown menu and select the Location right. Click Save to complete.

To Delete a Location Right from an Employee:

  1. Click on the Company Directory on the left of the screen.
  2. Double-click on the employee who is to be updated.
  3. Select the Locations Tab on the Employee Details screen.
  4. Click the Delete button to the right of the grid.
  5. Click Yes to confirm deletion.

 

Access SalesPitch Information

The Access SalesPitch user right grants users the ability to see Prospect, Opportunity and Proposal level data. Without it, users cannot see any Proposals, Opportunities, or Prospects at all. The Access SalesPitch user right also grants users access to the Scoreboard Dashboard.

To Add Access SalesPitch Right to an Employee:

  1. Click on the Company Directory on the left of the screen.
  2. Double-click on the employee who is to be updated.
  3. Select the Security Rights Tab on the Employee Details screen.
  4. Click the Add button to the right of the grid. Add Security Right slider will appear.
  5. Click the Available Rights dropdown menu and select the Access SalesPitch right. 
  6. Click the Add button next to the dropdown menu to add the right. Click Save to complete.
