Editing a Company Name allows users to change the existing name for a company associated with a Client or a Contact. This article will explain how to edit a Company Name from the Company Details tab, the Client Details tab and the Contact Details tab.

Users can edit a company name by first searching for the name in the Search Tab. Upon searching for the Company, make sure Companies is showing as a data category. If Companies is not a visible column in the search screen, add it from the Search Categories dropdown menu.
Add the Companies Data Category to the Search Menu
- From the Search menu, click the Search Categories dropdown from the upper-right corner of the grid.
- Click on the Companies toggle to add it to the Search menu.
- Search for the company name and double-click the name from the search results.

To Edit a Company Name from the Company Details tab
- Open a Company record from the Search menu.
- Click the Edit button. An Edit Company slider will appear.
- Edit the Company Name and click Save to confirm.
Users can also edit a Company Name when working in the Client Details or Contact Details tabs in PensionPro
To Edit a Company Name from the Client Details tab
- Open a Client record from the Search menu.
- On the Client Details Home tab, click on the name link to open the Company Details tab.
- Click the Edit button. An Edit Company slider will appear.
- Edit the Company Name and click Save to confirm.
To Edit a Company Name from the Contact Details tab
- Open a Contact record from the Search menu.
- On the Contact Details Home tab, click on the Company link to open the Company Details tab.
- Click the Edit button. An Edit Company slider will appear.
- Edit the Company Name and click Save to confirm.
