Getting Started with Distributions

The Distribution Module allows users to automate and expedite distribution processing.  Distributions are initiated in PensionPro and clients can track the status and any important documents and notes that are attached to the distribution via the PlanSponsorLink website.

In order to utilize the Distribution Module, the user must first setup:
 
Distribution Preferences - The user can setup the Distribution Preferences by clicking on Maintenance\Preferences\Distribution.
 
Fee Schedules - The user must setup fee schedules in the system or at least create a default fee schedule to be used. 
 
Investment Providers - Investment Provider information is no longer required for the Distribution Module. Investment Providers may be imported by plan or can be entered manually into the system by the user if chosen.  
 
Setup contacts with the website right, "Distributions" - This is optional - this should be setup if clients should have the ability to view the status of the distribution and any documents or notes that have been posted to it. 
 
Import Distribution templates - The user will need to import or create distribution templates. Attached is a Sample Distribution Template. Please make sure you edit the template carefully before using it within your firm.
